VECHS is an equal opportunity, application-based Early College High School program that accepts a new class of entering 9th grade students each year. Pending space in the program, we also will admit new 10th & 11th graders. All students, regardless of grade level, are required to complete the application process and meet application deadlines to be considered for the program.
Factors considered in admission include: Student GPA (7th and 8th Grade), School Attendance Record, School Discipline Record, CAASPP Scores, Student Essay and Teacher Recommendations.
The application process takes place as follows:
Part 1. Students complete and submit (electronically) the VECHS Application Google Form, a student essay and two Teacher Recommendation Google Forms. Students must copy and email the teacher recommendation form link to the teachers of their choice. All the required documents are linked below:

Part 2. Admitted Students will receive an acceptance packet in the US Mail in late April/Early May. The packet includes an acceptance letter, a VECHS letter of intent to register, and the Parent and Student Assurances and Commitments Forms. Students and parents must sign and return the VECHS letter of intent to register and the student and parent assurances forms to the office at Will C. Wood High School, 998 Marshall Road, 95687.
Once we've received your signed letter of intent and the student/parent assurances and commitments, you will receive an email inviting you to attend our spring meet and greet event, which is typically held in Early to mid May. At this event the VECHS counselor explains student schedules, and walks students through how to complete the Solano Community College Course enrollment process.
