PBIS - POSITIVE BEHAVIOR INTERVENTIONS AND SUPPORTS
Will C. Wood High School is at the forefront of a national shift toward more effective behavioral supports and interventions for all students. Our PBIS program, dubbed the Wildcat Way, aims to teach, reinforce, and support 4 key behavioral expectations:
- BE KIND
- BE SAFE
- BE RESPECTFUL
- BE RESPONSIBLE
In addition to explicitly teaching and rewarding good behavior, our program also focuses on collecting better data on students who are struggling to meet behavioral expectations, in order to provide group and individual interventions so that all students can be successful. To learn more about how the Wildcat Way program works at Will C. Wood, please see our student handbook (PBIS is on Chp 5).
