The Will C. Wood High School Parent Teacher Club (PTC) is pleased to announce the initiation and ongoing sponsorship of an Academic Letter and Academic Lamp award program for eligible students. The Academic Letter program joins the Athletic Letter and Instrumental Music Letter award programs at Wood and recognizes outstanding student achievement.
- Eligible students must have earned a GPA of 3.70 or higher for four (4) semesters.
- Academic Lamps are awarded for each subsequent semester in which the student earns a GPA of 3.70 or higher.
- During the eight (8) semesters of attending WCW, student can earn a total of one (1) Academic Letter and up to four (4) Academic Lamps.

After each semester, the Registrar complies a list of eligible students. Students are called into the office and awarded their letter or lamp.
