Peer Tutoring, Study Hall, & Testing Center

Hello Wildcats!

We are pleased to be able to offer these programs that provide additional academic support for all students: Study Hall, the Testing Center, & Peer Tutoring!

Study Hall is available most Tuesdays and Thursday after school in the Library from 3:45 until 4:45. A teacher from a core subject area is available for extra help with their area of expertise, but any students may attend for general assistance for any class, to work with their peers, or for a quiet place to work. Please note that the Library is used for other events at times. This calendar shows the Tuesdays and Thursdays that it is not available. When possible, the calendar lists the teacher's subject area.

The Testing Center is also regularly available for students to make up and retake quizzes, tests, and other assessments on Fridays from 1:45 until 2:45. These dates are listed on the same calendar. Teachers must schedule students for the Testing Center prior to the Friday they hope to attend to provide the necessary materials and directions.

Peer Tutoring begins this week during Flex! Flex is a 30 minute intervention period between 2nd and 3rd periods on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. If students have not been requested by their teachers, they choose which Flex offerings they would like to attend on those days. Beginning this Thursday, they can sign up under Mrs. Wensky's name and can leave a comment indicating what subject area they would like to work on in order to be paired with a tutor. Peer Tutoring will generally be offered Tuesdays and Thursdays during Flex.

Students interested in being a tutor and earning service hours can sign up to tutor during Flex under Mr. Brown's name. They must also fill out this Google Form to indicate the subject(s) they are comfortable and qualified to tutor. The form only needs to be completed once.

Please note that students must opt to schedule themselves for Peer Tutoring. Parents cannot schedule their students in Flex. However, you may ask your student to show you what they signed up for on the FlexiSched website. The scheduling window is open from the beginning of 2nd period until 8 pm on the first school day of the week.

Thank you and Go Wildcats!
