Cha'pelle Brown, was introduced to players, parents, and members of the coaching staff as the new head football coach for the Wildcats. Coach Brown brings a wealth of coaching experience to Wood. He started as the cornerback coach at Northern Arizona University for two years before being hired by the University of California, Davis, in 2017. In 2022, he was promoted to Associate Head Coach. Before he moved into coaching, Brown attended the University of Colorado, Boulder, where he started for three years as a defensive back and earned All Big-12 honors in 2010. He finished his career with Buffaloes, seventh among all defensive backs with 257 career tackles. In addition to his coaching duties with the 'Cats, he will also be a physical education teacher.
